Version dated March 23, 2026
This policy is intended to inform you clearly about the use of cookies and other trackers that are placed or read when you browse the PIMAN Group website. It supplements the site’s privacy policy.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file, or more broadly a tracker, placed on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone) when visiting a website. It is used in particular to ensure the proper functioning of the site, remember certain preferences, secure your browsing and, depending on its purpose, measure site traffic.
Some cookies are strictly necessary for the operation of the site. Others may only be placed after obtaining your consent, in accordance with the applicable regulations.
2. What cookies do we use?
| Category | Main purpose | Consent | Legal basis | Maximum duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary cookies | Ensure the technical operation of the site, security, navigation, load balancing or the storage of a strictly necessary choice. | No | Exemption provided for by Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act where the cookie is strictly necessary for the requested service; the related processing is based, depending on the case, on the legitimate interest of security and proper operation. | Session duration or a duration limited to what is strictly necessary, without exceeding 13 months where relevant. |
| Audience measurement cookies | Measure site traffic, detect navigation issues, improve usability and service performance. | Yes, unless the tool is configured in such a way as to benefit from the exemption provided for by the regulations. | User consent where the exemption does not apply; otherwise, exemption under Article 82 and legitimate interest for statistical analysis strictly limited to the site. | Cookie lifespan limited to 13 months; associated data retained for no more than 25 months when audience measurement is implemented. |
As of the date of this policy, PIMAN Group does not use advertising or behavioral targeting cookies on the site, unless otherwise indicated in the site’s cookie management module.
3. How are your choices collected?
During your first visit to the site, a banner or information module allows you to accept, refuse or customize the use of cookies that are not strictly necessary.
In accordance with CNIL recommendations, refusing must be as easy as accepting. Continuing to browse does not constitute consent. Until you have expressed your choice, no cookie requiring consent is placed on your device.
The detailed and up-to-date list of cookies, their purposes, any issuers and their duration is available through the site’s cookie management module.
4. How can you withdraw or change your consent?
You may change your preferences at any time by reopening the cookie management module from the site.
You may also configure your browser to block all or part of cookies. However, this setting may affect the proper functioning of certain site features.
5. Retention periods
The choices expressed by users (acceptance, refusal or customization) are retained for a maximum period of 6 months, in order to avoid requesting your preferences on every visit.
The lifespan of cookies is limited to a maximum of 13 months. When audience measurement data is collected, it is retained for no longer than 25 months, subject to a shorter duration actually applied on the site.
6. Recipients of data collected through cookies
Information collected through cookies is intended for authorized PIMAN Group teams as well as its technical service providers involved in hosting, maintenance, security or audience measurement of the site, strictly within the scope of their duties.
This data is neither sold nor transferred to third parties for commercial purposes.
As of the date of this policy, processing related to cookies is not intended to result in data transfers outside the European Union. If this changes, this policy will be updated.
7. Your rights
Where cookies or trackers used result in the processing of personal data, you have, under the conditions provided for by the applicable regulations, the right of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and, where applicable, the right to data portability.
You may also withdraw your consent at any time for cookies subject to consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before such withdrawal.
For any question relating to this policy or to exercise your rights, you may contact: dpo@bypiman.fr. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL.
8. Policy updates
This policy may be modified at any time, in particular in the event of changes to the cookies actually used on the site, applicable regulations or recommendations from supervisory authorities. The update date shown at the top of this document shall prevail.
